Albert Gomez, founder of Shore Craft Tile and Pottery, is a versatile artist of
exceptional range. With a background in glassblowing as well as pottery, his portfolio
includes salt glazes, raku, hand built vessels, lace-rimmed bowls and his signature "Big" pots--
some four feet tall. His career now focuses on his distinctive line of functional stoneware, created with
personally formulated clay bodies and unique glazing techniques. Gomez is proprietor of Crafts at the Marketplace.
With creations ranging from bathroom sinks to
teapots and tables, much of the Shore Craft collection captures the colors and textures of the Jersey Shore's
sand and seascapes.
